In recent years, due to the declining population, there has been a sharp decline in talent, and various companies have been unable to find suitable candidates. The lack of connection between industry and academia is also a major reason for the shortage of talent. Therefore, The Taiwan global Eastbound Association of Launching American (TeaLa) is committed to cultivating international talents in the Asia-Pacific region, allowing students to become future corporate combat power.
Therefore, at 1 pm on November 10, 2022 (Thursday) in the International Conference Hall of the Chung-Hua Institution for Economic Research, The Taiwan global Eastbound Association of Launching American (TeaLa) has partnered with the Digital Governance Association to hold the " The Taiwan global Eastbound Association of Launching American (TeaLa) Founding Conference and Board of Directors Meeting" as well as a special lecture on "Globalize Taiwan - The Starting Line That Is TeaLa" and "TeaLa Asia-Pacific Talent Pool Platform"
On the day of the Founding Conference, J.W. Kuo, Chairman of Topco Scientific Co. Ltd. , was elected as the Chairman of TeaLa, and the three vice-chairmen were Margaret Kao, Chairman of Marketech lnternational Corp.Technology, Lin Wu, CEO of KPMG, and Louis Chen, Chairman of the Digital Governance Association. To cope with the numerous association affairs and business matters, Dr. Edison Chen was specially invited to serve as the CEO of the TeaLa, and Allen Zheng, CEO of Light Momentum Tech Corp., was appointed as the Secretary-General of the TeaLa. The Chairman, on behalf of Taiwan global Eastbound Association of Launching American delivered the opening speech and invited all the directors, supervisors, and VIPs to take a group photo as well as a "all members included" group photo to commemorate the occasion.
For the opening speech, AIT Commercial Section Chief, Brent Omdahl , Chairman of Taiwan Financial Holdings, Joseph Lyu, General Manager of Citibank Taiwan, Yu Yuan-ling and Secretary-General of the Taiwan External Trade Development Council, Simon Wang were invited to give insightful speeches on the vision and expectations of TeaLa.
The special lecture was presented by Vice President Wang, Jiann-Chyuan of the Chung-Hua Institution for Economic Research. With his extensive macroscopic view and insights, he gave an international perspective on "Globalize Taiwan - The Starting Line That Is TeaLa" explaining why Taiwan needs TeaLa, how it should be planned, and where the business opportunities lie.
Finally, Dr. Edison Chen, the director of the TeaLa Preparatory Office, reported on the vision of TeaLa's Center For Talent Innovation and emphasized that the overall goal of TeaLa is to promote long-term relationship exchanges between Taiwan and North America and to jointly cultivate international talents. The specific matters to be addressed are as follows:
1. We will promote the establishment of an international talent pool program for universities in ASEAN, India, Taiwan, the United States, and multinational corporations.
2. We will integrate companies interested in investing in the North American region according to industry, and participate in joint promotional activities of common interest. These activities may include education and talent pools, cultural exchanges, trade and investment, and company establishment.
3. Through the media, newspapers, and books, we will assist in enhancing members' marketing and resource integration, providing executable strategies and discourse related to the New Eastward Movement.
Finally, we hope that through the formal establishment of the "Taiwan global Eastbound Association of Launching American" members can gather and work together during the golden decade of Taiwan-US relations in the future. Guided by TeaLa's core strategy, we aim to create five achievements: 1) Taiwan's global new value; 2) Promotion of industrial upgrading; 3) Social internationalization; 4) National welfare; and 5) Win-win ecology among Taiwan, the United States, Japan, and the New Southbound countries.
